Shree Raghupati Jute Mills Limited, established in 1946, is the oldest operating industry in Nepal, with a history of over 75 years. Initially established as a public limited company by the Government of Nepal and Indian entrepreneurs, the factory was privatized in 1996 by selling a majority of shares to Arihant Multi Fibers Ltd, a unit of RK Golchha Group. Following privatization, the factory invested crores of rupees in the latest technology machinery to improve its viability. It presently provides employment to 3000 individuals and has an annual capacity of 20000 MT. It serves as a successful example of privatization in Nepal, with a team of experienced professionals managing its operations.
